Hall of Music Productions is the in-house production company of Purdue University. We provide audio, video, lighting, and staging services for over 1,000 events on and around campus every year. As part of the technical staff, I am responsible for ensuring a quality show every time. This not only includes a knowledge of our gear and how to use it, but also preparation skills, and always expecting the unexpected. Being able to act cool under pressure and troubleshoot on-the-spot is an important skill at this job. But most importantly, collaborating and building relationships with clients and coworkers is a must to make events run as smoothly as possible. While I mostly work as an audio technician, I have also gained experience in video, lighting, and staging.
