LAFAYETTE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA - STAGE HAND
I have helped the local Lafayette Symphony Orchestra set up and strike the stage when events are happening. This gig has taught me the process of setting up for orchestra concerts and the stage layout for different instrument families. This could be useful in the future for situations where an orchestral band needs set up for live shows or recording.
KANSAS - STAGE CREW
In September of 2021, the legendary rock band Kansas played at the Tippecanoe Amphitheater in Lafayette. A few friends and I got the opportunity to help set up the equipment and see what goes into a large-scale concert. I helped the drum tech set up and place mics on the drums and also helped run cables to the front-of-house soundboard. I also learned about the band's monitoring system and got to hang out in "Monitor World" during the performance to observe.
